Total Solar eclipse April 8th, 2024

We’re gearing up for the Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024! Because Syracuse is right in the path of totality, we will experience complete darkness for about a minute, at around 3:23pm.
Join us for an exciting eclipse festival in Camillus, NY on April 8th from 1 – 4 pm at the Camillus Town Hall Lawn.  This event is co-sponsored by Camillus Parks & Recreation, Fairmount  Community Library and Maxwell Memorial Library as well as the Town of Camillus.
There will be: food trucks, live music, hands-on educational activities for children, vendors, eclipse glasses to view the eclipse, and more! Stay tuned for more details.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we want to celebrate it together! The next total eclipse in New York State won’t take place until 2079.
